Today is the funeral of my friend Matt Swinea. I didn't know him as well as I should have... We weren't close but I did talk to him and I loved his company and his personality. He didn't drink, smoke, or do any drugs and he was only 19. He just passed away peacefully in his sleep. I don't think I'll ever understand that.
I know how you feel When my friend Louis died of a heart attack at age 16, it was a shock. How can life be so short, how can someone of such great potential be taken, how could I have gone on each day missing his "hello" and "goodbye." Now that he's gone, I feel awful for a lot of things that I missed out on in our friendship. I think that's how it is with a lot of ppl once a loved one has passed on. It's all a part of life.

its ok he got the note, but im not sure when he got it tho. but today my friend told me that he asked if i liked him or not--which i do--and she said that she wasnt sure. anyway i told her that it was only because i wanted to go as jsut frenz--kind of. and she told him, and he asked her why i didnt jsut ask in person, and i told her that im 'freakin weird liek that'. btw we were passing notes in class to each other, so if that was confusing, or anything, i just wanted to tell u that. anyway, he hasnt responded yet. i dont think he even wants to go to the movies with me now. he must think im a big dork!

matt swinea matt and i sort of dated after he graduated, but i was in colorado and then missouri, so i didn't get to really hang out w/ him as much as i wish we had. he had a really innocent heart and i always loved that about him. i still think about him everyday, and cry. i think its going to affect how i see things in life now, im really dealing w/ the whole life and death thing. i know its been months and months since he passed, but please forgive me im a computer illiterate.

Matt was my nephew Matt was my nephew. My dad found this site by googling Matts name. It's a real comfort to us to know that so many people cared about Matt. He's was always a very special person. Just please don't forget him. Thanks, Dana
